Hey! Nice to see you from your Reddit thread. Wish you a productive FAWM this year!

Hi - the mod team wanted to remind you about the commenting culture here on FAWM. Constructive criticism is OK, but only if specifically requested in the liner notes. Unsolicited critique can do more harm than good in a "wood-shedding" space like FAWM. Check out the commenting guide here https://help.fawm.org/community/guidelines/#commenting-on-songs

Happy FAWMing!

If I may, I would suggest that if the system is based on commenting, there should be a more clear way to define the type of feedback you want or expect to receive. What if you did what SubmitHub does and when you submit there is a slider for the type of feedback. It could range from "empty praise," all the way to "brutally honest" on a scale of 5.

One thing I would request is a report button for actual songs. Last night I encountered a song that was disturbingly sexist and violent towards women, and one that was clearly 100% AI slop.

Thank you!

I will pass your feedback on! In the meantime, it's generally best to default to cheerleading rather than critique on this site, as people are writing fast and posting first takes. I'm not familiar with submithub, but a quick Google suggests that it is for final versions, rather than just-written songs.

WRT reporting songs, again I'll feedback that we might need a button on the song page. For now, if you find the song in a list (eg on the user's profile) you can report by clicking the three dots next to it.

I really think the slider would help. If all I get is a bunch of cheerleading honestly it will seem like a total waste of time. But I understand that's all another person can handle and that's fair I suppose. But then why don't we just use an upvote? What's the point of a "comment" if it's empty words?
