Like all things the change came slowly Almost imperceptible at first We wondered how it’d feel to be lonely If our positions ever were reversed

We’d never be like those losers The ones you see late at night Walking the streets on their own Mumbling loud and looking for fights

We didn’t really think of the future Until the day it duly arrived Fond memories of the past Wondering just how we survived
