been working on this one on and off for about a month. i sent Q some instrumentals then she sent me this a little while later, i added a verse and some backing vocals. I sat down today after uploading this morning and got to work mixing. this will be the final song on our upcoming album (vinyl will be available on soundcloud) and should be on all platforms soon...i'll have more info soon, hopefully. the album started last fawm, feels right to finish it during this fawm...like a full-circle thing. thanks so much.

Q- a lot of my favorite songs we've done together came after conversations with Adam about things we've convinced ourselves we need to struggle alone with. It has been a real gift to be able to work with such a skilled and talented artist/friend, and to turn these moments of self doubt into downtrodden anthems.

Very catchy chorus melody, which is perfect with the rap verses.

Very impressive rap verses as well. Lyrical content and rhyme choices were very well written. “Bonding over trauma” what a LINE! Man, that’s good.

Right out of the gate, I love the way those vocal lines spin around each other. Great patter, love the layers in the percussion (triplets in the bridge are fun!). Killer hook, and lots of great lines in the extended patter / rap, awesome specificity. Oooh, and the clean bare harmony at the end.

This is an awesome package of sounds, very cool!

th chorus kills it. i really love these two songs with q and look forward to downloading the whole album when its finished. working with her does open things up for you, taking your music to places it didnt go with adam. dont get me wrong. the stuff with adam is outstanding..this is something a little different and i like the new elements.

The plays like a modern day anthem for the underdog. And I mean it with the utmost appreciation for what y'all have offered up here. There's an urgency under-girded with a whole lot of patience. I hear it. And it could just be me, for me. And if so, I'm appreciative of what this song does. Great production and I don't expect any less. I've taken a few notes and now I know what I must do to match this. 😀

i really love the way autotune is used on the vocals here, it's such a satisfying timbre! 😄 this song would fit right in w/ all the other pop i was listening to in the late 00s!

Oh man, love this! All the voices cut together, just sounding so 'full' - it just all sounds so natural, like your just chillin' and out gushes all this great sound.
