I made an 8 minute song on my Casio CTK-230 keyboard where it was pretty much me pressing a bunch of different things for eight minutes trying to see what would land.

I ended up having two songs, this big eight minute song and then the one you're hearing here. This is the end section of that eight minute one since I just really liked how it felt, with some modifications and reversing shenanigans along with a MIDI pad accompanying it in the back.

I'm seriously impressed with the range of timbres you're getting here. Love the garbled phone call(?) vocals in the middle of it. This has such a wonderful sense of space and longing and distance.

Yes, the idea was phone calls as during a bit of it I accidently switched the "Telephone" tone on the keyboard and so there's some parts that have that, but when mixing I thought along with the extra MIDI pad I added it'd be fun to do a fake phone call and then I ended up just doing it like one or two more times lol.

It's a bit as if I'm floating through some kind of mystic (and misty) world, encountering all kinds of magic creatures. People hovering on clouds, floating rocks, swimming fish and other dark-magic beings I can't really make out what they are and what they are trying to say. It definitely feels like I'm staring at the wonder throughout this whole piece. Terrific soundscape.
