Something Good

Liner Notes
Well day one didn't get off to a good start, as my recording skills are a lot rustier than I thought. I spent so much time trying to get the instruments to sound halfway decent, that I didn't have much time to do the vocals. So much for keeping things simple so I can spend more time writing songs.
Lyrics
You went down to the waters Took your head in your hands Didn’t know if you would see your home again Memories weighing you down
Something good just might come From breaking everything that you have known You could live with a little low Or pack your bags and grab the wheel and go
Too much thought can kill you Not enough will make you drown I would give you my hope if I could spare it There’s not enough to go round

Surprisingly I’d never listened to them before but I can hear their influence in other music I like.
I like the lo-fi feel. The raw synth octave bass is an unexpected combination with this sort of troubadour guitar, but it sort of reminds me of some early 2000's John Frusciante tracks. 😀
Yeah, I hadn’t realized that was the sound I was aiming for till you mentioned it. Thanks for the insight.
Hummable and tapping along.
wow this was loud! Great track , the music is very powerful and the vocal strong! a good economical lyric tops it off!
def a postal service vibe here to the vocals and melody; cool vibe
