Gryphon Stringed Instruments over in Palo Alto (Bay Area) had my beloved Martin D-28 for 7 weeks repairing the binding that was coming off. I just got it back yesterday (1 day before FAWM) and changed the strings right away. Remarkably, it stayed in tune overnight and after noodling for a few minutes this first morning of FAWM, this is what I did... #harmonica, #firstfruits #acousticguitar #instrumental

Great tones! It really does make me feel like I’m walking along a dirt road in the summer heat, but I’m feeling good because I’m heading to jump in the lake for a refreshing swim. Or maybe I’m riding on a train. It could be a train song right? Love it!
Super cool all the way through. We'll just sit you in the corner of a smoky bar and let you riff on this for a night.
Gorgeous playing — I am a sucker for the squeaky slide of a string. I agree — it feels warm and comfortable.
hell yea, such a great way to start fawm w/ an easy-going blues tune! makes it feel like summer, even amidst the cold of winter 😁
A Martin D28 ..very nice. I have a D16.. i need to use that...you have inspired me. Love the gritty harp and that old school blues. SWeet!
So great! And then there came the harmonica... Lovely. I get the feeling that you play live (or have). BTW I like this piece without any vocals. Will have to catch up with your profile to learn more.
Thanks for the nice comment. I do play live every Friday night. I'm the lead guitar in an outlaw county band. I'm 73 and I'm the youngest guy in the group!
Outstanding! Keep showing those old guys how it's done. 😂 Happy FAWMing!
I love this piece!! That Martin is singin!! and the harmonica is just perfect! Feels like a "sittin on the front porch" song. Makes me wanna grab my strat and knock off some blues licks... Oh wait...I think I will!!!
Very cool instrumental. I was playing it while working and it pull me out a couple times, like: « Oh! Nice reverb on that Harmonica »…
Thanks very much. Looking forward to hearing your tunes.
lots to like here
