Liner Notes

In this piece, I am paying homage to a lost giant in the music world, Ralph Towner. When I first heard him play "Icarus" with the group Oregon. I was hooked.

This flows so beautifully with lovely melodies and movement. The transition of chords and change in dynamics works so effectively to take me on an emotional journey with the music.

Some very beautiful changes in this piece, and a gorgeous flow. I feel like I can sense your respect and admiration flowing through this. I was familiar with "Icarus" recorded by the Paul Winter Consort, and that was a deep favorite of mine. Soul stirring. I've just gone to YouTube and searched out the original by Oregon, and I'm really taken with the nuance of their playing. I plan to give it a full length listen! Too bad all good things must pass. I appreciate your tribute.

This is soft and beautiful. Lends itself to the use of imagery.

Very evocative. Somewhat pensive and reflective. I dig it. Took my mind to a nice place.
