Liner Notes
April 7th, 2026 - the day people stopped being born, dying, and aging.
This is the first track I wrote for this album and although my track order is subject to change, I can confidently say this will stay the first track. It really helped that I had a theme in mind since I have a better idea what sound and pacing the rest of this album will have.
17776 imagines a world where humans spontaneously become immortal and after all boring things like world peace are achieved, the only obstacle left for humanity is boredom. The only logical solution to that is to innovate the game of American football with more and more complex rules and higher stakes. All our satellite protagonists can do is watch from space as ball is played.
Jon Bois' storytelling and presentation of 17776 is amazing and I do think everyone should experience it at least once (especially because I am going to spoil some pretty significant parts of it). I can only hope my tribute album does such an impactful work justice.

I tell you I had no idea where you were going with this piece and then the string pads kicked in and...I was transported. Beautiful. I never have heard of 17776 but I am looking it up now and I will check it out. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I don't normally compose music in this genre (curse of the metalhead I guess) but I have been using ambient music to sleep a lot for several months now and I think that's starting to have an effect on me. Hope you enjoy 17776 as much as I did!
Yeah, the heavy strings are very pretty on this, and the melody/bass keeps it going. I feel this could be an intro to something grand. Curious where this will go with your next pieces.
