Out on the porch where the rockin' chairs swing,  Sunday smells like heaven  She's hummin' hymns got her apron on tight And a pot full of glory bubblin up just right. 

Baked beans, Granny, bringin all she's got With a little brown sugar and a whole lotta hot.  Stirrin' that love in a cast iron pot slappin' that spoon like she's stirrin' up the lot. 

Oh Lord, don't need no fancy food shot  Just baked beans Granny, bringin all she's got .  She don't measure nothin just a pinch and a prayer Little dash of sass, and a whole lot of care.  Cornbread cracklin in that oven's old song And them beans just keep a rolling all day long. 

Baked beans, Granny, bringin on all she's got,  With a dollop of bacon and the whole stove hot. 

Servin up heaven in a dixie pot,  She'll feed the whole county from that one little pot.  Yeah, baked beans Granny never lettin it stop. 

Says, don't need silver don't need gold Just a warm full belly and a story to be told So we pass it around, from the porch to the lot,  Singing thanks for that woman and the love she brought
