03: The Big Cake Bake
Liner Notes
As mentioned in my bio, I am travelling for most of February so I started FAWM last week. So far I have created videos and will be uploading them before I leave on my trip.
A funkier track that sounded too clean so dirtied it up to accentuate the vibe of my treatment of the cartoon.
Track was created on my iPad in Korg Gadget and arranged in AuriaPro. Samples were mangled in frekvens and the completed track further broken down in Rymdigare.
All my videos are produced in LumaFusion.
Headphones recommended.

Thanks for listening and commenting. Glad you enjoyed it! Checked Gorilla 4 Sale and see what you mean. 🙂
Always gotta listen to the lonesome in cans! You’re a master of the stereo field. I listen once with eyes closed and let it take me places in my Mind I didn’t even know existed then I watch the video and just appreciate your taste and choices for repurposing and Hell…upcycling might even be a word I’d use. The cartoon is wild in its own right but you elevate everything you touch. Always a pleasure to spend time with your music/art
Thanks for your kind and generous words. It means more than you can imagine. I really appreciate you taking the time to listen carefully and immerse yourself in my soundscapes.
Nice funky vibe to this. I dig the drum groove. Lovely mellow keys. Interesting with the vocal treatment in the cartoon.
Cheers. Glad you enjoyed it.
I dig your management of the hiss, gives the right old timey cartoon feel before it breaks in, and then funky with echoes falling over themselves! You might like the Little Stompy Delay pedal I made, the echoes go long to short plus loads of other mess around LFO options! The vocals delays here remind me of it (check me YouTube to hear it…)
Thanks for listening and commenting. I only have a couple of pedals. I mostly run my hardware synths through iPad fx or produce entirely on the iPad. I’ll check out your YouTube cause I’m curious.
For sure, some things aren’t quite right that I have up, but can’t help but love circuits and noodling on different ways. Not sure how you would if going synthily into an iPad, but if you have an audio then perfect, Multitrack DAW on iPad, maybe an interface and mic? Through automation you could do similar to my LSD (Little Stompy Delay)
I use a Zoom LiveTrak-12 as my audio interface and use a few different iPad DAWS, so have plenty of options. If you use an iPad, I recommend checking out LoopyPro. IMO, it’s the premier recording, looping, sequencer, daw on iOS. Soon coming for MacOS.
My iPad is the iPad 2, pretty ancient. I keep this one DAW on my phone, but really prefer doing it through the PC with Studio One
Oh, now THIS is trippy. I love it. The samples give it a very "Gorilla 4 Sale" energy, but... like, blasting off into outer space. Could listen to this forever.
