For the young among you, "valise" (French, I believe) is an old-fashioned word for suitcase.
Lyrics
In my suitcase is a stranger's face just in case I want to play at being someone else for a change
In my valise is a thank you and a please a greeting and an apology and the following:
Dirt from the garden of Eden a lock of Samson's hair the mustache of Buster Keaton a grandfather clock and a baby bear (stuffed, of course what do you take me for?)
In my suitcase is a voice and a choice the melodic purr of Stanley Boy and the collective memory of forgotten humanity
In my valise lives a gaggle of geese a chunk of brie cheese and the following:
The glow of a distant star (not so distant, now, are you?) birdsong, a singalong the luminous light of dawn in a lazy morning under a hazy sun

ah the melodica of ttg and those incessant drums. Sounds a bit GOT. great lines cool song
Classic technicolor gramophone. The groove is tremendous. You are the master of this sort of lyric. Every bit of noise on this track is a delight
This is just so darn clever! I’m especially drawn to verse 1.
Fine boings among horror-melodica, and such a great concept. We all love our suitcases.
Fantastic lyrics! I love your ideas! Funny but also poetic and - of course - surreal nonsense (but not really …)! … and Stanley ❤️ Great song!
I'm really loving the boingy bass guitar. I totally like your Krautrock-adjacent tracks like this one. I'm always up for a Buster Keaton reference (did you know that he got the nickname "Buster" after his father kept throwing him down stairs as a stunt??) That percussion is a bit hypnotic. Yeah, nice one.
this would make a fantastic video. a magician pulling all of these wonderful things out of a suitcase placed on a table in front of him. or the listeners can just close their eyes and see it all in the minds eye. cool music pushes this one along trainlike.
Lovely surreal poetry, really like the images you conjure here. Perfect accompaniment with the monotonous drum machine beat and springy guitar. The bass sounds almost like a jawharp at times, really cool.
