I struck me when I started writing this that I had not really sung since FAWM, certainly not recorded myself, I am trying to stop my self from nitpicking about sloppy playing and pitchy vocals, cause that usually burns me out early in FAWM, when i forget this is actually a song writing challenge not a mixing contest

Not fully sure what the lyrics are about, probably a combo of trying to imagine some cool lines @freshspotlessyouth could have nonchalantly sung, a weird dream I had of being a ghost, futility trying to text back to my girlfriend, after I was killed in a hit and run by a traffic light and some lines from the top of my head

very chill! feeling late night vibes - although the weather is not clear - the gentle rain outside reinforces the foggy layer. vocals feel delicate all over - doubled backing vocals are sublime - adds to the ghostlyness. what else? excellent instrumentation - production is sweet and clean. magic!

Wow, beautiful and relaxing and complex. Wonderfully abstract lyric and wonderfully sung. You have such a soothing voice that could sing something intimidating and it would still sound fantastic. Does that make sense? Probably not, but love I love it. Amazing mix of instrumentation as always. This was a joy to listen to!

Oh my this is lovely. I really like it when you sing! I always do. You have a great style that is your own. Of course, I could get into all of the tasty bits, but that is just your standard. I love it!

I love the stream-of-consciousness dream-logic lyrics, the conversational tone kinda reminds me of some Jens Lekman stuff (An Argument With Myself maybe). Lots of fun musical / arrangement choices, the guitar and vocal lines combining on the title line works beautifully.

Ha! First of all, the title made me laugh even before I pressed play or read the lyrics or liner notes. This is great. You've created such a fantastic catchy-melancholic vibe. Lots of great lines too: the city chewing its nails, the unforgiving ground. vagrant thoughts. Lots of amazing musical flourishes, too. I'd put this on a playlist.

This is really nice, I like the melodic/chord choices on “summoning the will to text back”, it doesn’t follow an obvious path. Lyrics really strong on this, particularly like “watched the city chew its nails”. So many cool little instrumental flourishes in this and the production is great as ever. Good stuff!

Love your vocal giving instant Belle and Sebastian vibes. Love these crazy cool changes too. Sheesh! I'm such a three chord rocker. I have mad appreciation for hearing interesting progressions.
