Now that I've recorded it, I think it should have had a much faster tempo. Next time.

Lyrics

Some joker, called Mister Dayna, got high on new year’s eve He posted online that NASA was messing with gravity (oh no!) And on August the 12th, in the year of our lord 2026 For seven long seconds we’ll all shed a ton of bricks

Project Anchor! What a pranker! Project Anchor! Seriously? How can people believe?

He said 50 or 60 million poor suckers will die Like the chicken who said we’d be killed by a falling sky Dear conspiracy theorists, is this just a game? If you really believe this, you must have a bird brain

Project anchor! You can’t turn off gravity Project anchor! Seriously? How gullible can people be?

Well, the history books tell of civilizations that worshipped the sun To bring harvest and happiness, keeping us healthy and strong We tell stories to try to make sense of the world all around us (this world is confusing!) But this nonsense will soon have the AI starting to mock us

On August the 12th there’s a solar eclipse (cool!) And someone somewhere will enjoy fish and chips (I like fish and chips) A screenwriter surely will finish a script (Woo!) But I’m tell you now I can safely predict There won’t be an end to gravity (are you sure?) It’s a poppycock catastrophe (I mean, how do you know?) It’s a made-you-look malarky (but I read it online) It’s just balderdash baloney

But what if we all make a plan to jump at the same time as high as we can? (Yeah, no, that wouldn't do anything, but I mean, go ahead and try)

Project anchor! Tweedle-dum, tweedle-dee Project anchor! How foolish can people be?

you must have a bird brain - seriously - brilliant. Great synonyms for nonsense - poppycock, malarky, balderdash, baloney. Loved it.

love me a bit of stuff and nonsense!

I love the ah ahs! I like the pace as well ! Such clean and clear delivery. The whole piece from "On August the 12th there’s a solar eclipse (cool!) onwards is inspired. Id come to Fawm just to listen to this - its a gem

aw shucks. Chorus needs work though. I get too in my rhymes too - if I widened the net I probably could find lots more ordinary things likely to occur on August 12th.

Love the short responses to the lyrics. Fun song. Popycock Catatrophe is a great prograde and would also be a great name for a band.

It's a mouthful but a good one!

This is a truly charming (and enlightening) creation! I must admit I had never heard of project anchor and had to go look it up! Hahaha! So thank you for the education and a wonderful tune about it! I really love all of your little dissenting comments scattered throughout! A lot of really great lyrical wordplay! You are to be commended for a job well done! What a wonderful listen! Blessings!

It floored me when I found it, knew it needed a song. The comments were a laugh to add. Think I might have channeled a little Will Farrell.

It was genuinely a joy to listen to and I hope all don’t float away into space! Hhahaha1
