A #ukulele song I wrote on a long train journey today about something or another #fuc. I'm not really sure if this is going to be interpreted the way I intend, so I'm just going to post and see what people make of it.

I will at least say that it's meant to be optimistic despite everything. We need to fight, but we also need a break.

Ok harmonica - you win. I will never forget hearing two English commuters talking - one said "do you think the train will be late" the other said " i dont see why not" seriously this could be as deep as you want in solutions to the issue! Either way its a damn good listen. This really is a player and a keeper

It feels to me as a mood similar to Xanda's in Sam's Song, or maybe more Talis' in Paper Worlds. The opposition between soul-crushing everyday life, and the better one we manage to carve out for ourselves in our imagination and books.

Am I completely off?

Anyway, it speaks to this corporate drone.

I hope I'm taking this the right way! Stories e we tell ourselves are what get us through the day, it's the Hero's Journey. Your song is so melodious and the chord progressions so satisfying, I really enjoyed this, great work!

I like this a lot. What instrument are you playing? Such an interesting sound. Almost sounds like an autoharp.

Anyway, I connect with the sentiment of the song and what you're trying to do here. We're all just trying to get through it all these days.

Cheers, I'm hoping it makes some sense! This is my new 8 string steel strung baritone uke. There is something a bit autoharpy about it. I love its sound, it really just sounds like its own thing and seems to fit the kind of stuff I want to do, on the evidence so far.
