PIGS OUT!

by @opossum

Liner Notes

As most of y'all know, I am just a simple opossum living out here in the forest at the edge of civa...sivili...er...where people live. So naturally, I've seen some crazy stuff in people's houses around here. This song is about the time I saw a bunch of pigs get into a house and run amok. Because I am a simple opossum this song is just a truthful accounting of the events that transpired and certainly not some sort of thinly veiled political statement or some #protest song. But take from it what you will!

Lyrics

PIGS OUT!

there's a stink pig in our house right now and we gotta get him out he's stealin' everything in sight and muckin' all about

he's built himself a nasty cult of simple pigs like him they all hate the same people and them pigs are mean and dim

PIGS OUT! throw 'em out on their fat butts PIGS OUT! kick 'em in their piggie nuts PIGS OUT! punch them piggies in the snout these are piggies we can live without

we must have left the door ajar for the big pig to get in he's demented, fat and ugly with droopy orange skin

his hands are soft and tiny and covered in blue spots I watch him scream and slobber let's jes hope he's had his shots

PIGS OUT! throw 'em out on their fat butts PIGS OUT! kick 'em in their piggie nuts PIGS OUT! punch them piggies in the snout these are piggies we can live without

one day that big fat pig will fall he will be dead and gone then his whole dang piggie flock can crawl back underneath their rock

PIGS OUT! throw 'em out on their fat butts PIGS OUT! kick 'em in their piggie nuts PIGS OUT! punch them piggies in the snout these are piggies we can live without

Love a new Opossum song! Great mando work (again) and a solid inferred message!

Love that singalong chorus. Great mando work there at the end. Glad you're back this year!

Missed you, little buddy. I always leave delicious leftovers safely off the side of the road for you. You’re such a talent but you always scurry off when I try to tell you about my adoration.

So happy to hear you again! Those mandolin and banjo licks speak to my soul. Bravo on this entire instrumentation. I love even more that this is a true story …PIGS OUT, such a cool chant.

Glad to se you around again! Some crazy banjo skills as usual, love the solo at the end. Have a great FAWM!

GET THEM RAY! I mean the porcine intruders in that poor person's house. So difficult, I imagine they are half-feral and a menace when you live in that there country. As always, your songs are a joy. And I guess that's what's needed in dark times.

This is mighty fine, Mr. Opossum. Mighty fine indeed.

I needed something a bit light Ray its all been a bit dark in here today. Pigs are clever and dangerous if they choose to be! and just mentioning it they probably eat all the food you would like to get -Go get um Ray!

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others. Some pigs are really smart and creative creatures... but the pigs in this song sound like all they do is consume, deplete, and destroy. I imagine you'd want to get those pigs out of that house. Is it a nice house? What color is it? 😉 What a nice, rollicking instrumental underneath a very straightforward vocal line. Nothing is obscuring the impact, that's for sure!

Woaaahhhh what an incredible mandolin solo at the very end there! Your voice is really cool too, and it complements the subject matter so well! Kudos for taking such a heavy topic and turning it into something constructive; this is really something that can unify people through a healthy mix of laughter and rage.
