Joined this skirmish with just 30 minutes left after breakfast with bandmates, but fortunately our conversation touched on an appropriate issue for a song. Consider this a first draft of the lyrics for now; I hope to polish and demo it later today. #skirmish #philosophy #governance #democracy

This could be a good song! The chorus sounds musical already even though there's no music, and I like the 'we have to thread the needle in between' phrase

This meditation had me really thinking about the concept of balance or at least that's how I've put it in other discussions of the subject. But here you refer to it as threading the needle which I think is even more apt. Because there really is only one way through. Although I think right now we're trying to find balance when in fact we should be trying to thread that needle.
