Meditation 2026 (prequel)

Skirmish: Meditation (@atornberg)

Liner Notes

I explored this idea yesterday as part of a different skirmish (the worst sound in the world). The skirmish seemed fun and an opportunity to explore this idea again. Who knew that I would be writing the world's worst meditation album this year .

This guitar riff was originally written on a guitar with a Bigsby floating bridge, but due to some issues I'm unable to use an electric guitar to record this. So I tried to do the bends manually. They're a little bit rough but I think you'll get the point.

Lyrics

Find a comfy spot Somewhere quiet and soft Sit down relax and close your eyes

Relax your mind Let your muscles unwind Try to forget the cost of rice

Soften your neck Ignore that text It can wait until break time

Clear your thoughts Ignore the AI bots Forget the desperation inside

Focus on your breath Not on society's death Not right now, it's time to unwind

Calm your heart As the world tears apart It's all chaos but you'll be fine

For the moment

I really love the chords and vocal delivery. There’s a quiet, hopeful desperation. Love it. :))

Love the chord progression and the acoustic guitar. Guided meditation song for dummies learning ‘how to’. Great work!

Interesting take on the prompt. Nice ideas for the lyrics and music interpretation.

Some lovely couplets in here and i can totally imagine it with some trippy guitar. Good work!

Love the guitar part, yeah I could see this being really cool on electric too. Sounds good here though. I like 'try to forget the cost of rice' somehow and the overall message.

I think I can hear what you are trying to - kind of an early Pink Floyd thing is how I imagined it. I like the permission in the song to ignore the stress and meditate to unwind. Thank you!
