Nice live drums!! I really like the chord shift on “hall” and “away” and it showed up earlier too. More cowbell, yes!! Nice guitar solo!
Is the owls line a reference to something? I feel like I’ve heard it somewhere but who knows lol

AHHHHH!!!! You did The owls are not what they seem backwards!!! Absolute perfection, sir. I love your commitment to the bit! Really great lyrics, referential but oblique, as they should be. Love the grinding guitar under the chorus, especially that step down chord in the second line. Fantastic. The Twin Peaks thing is definitely working. Cut to: A band playing The Owls on stage at the Roadhouse. The words "Starring Kyle MacLachlan" appear on screen while someone weeps in one of the booths. Roll credits.
