Lyrics

Put Me in Zen [Verse 1] I inhale every note, right from the start Closing my eyes, bass pumping my heart Drums in slow time, my colors align Closing my eyes, sing to me this time [Verse 2] Playing heavy riffs, they calm my mind Your harmony flows, like one of a kind Cowbell chimes, to my third eye Your voice takes me, straight to the sky [Chorus] My piece is the riot, you build inside You’re so electric, chakras on a ride Distortion heals, so loud in my veins In a trance, my blood rushing insane Stage lights glow, your voice touches me again Your Rock Star moves, you put me in Zen Yeah…Your Rock Star moves, you put me in Zen [Chorus] My piece is the riot, you build inside You’re so electric, chakras on a ride Distortion heals, so loud in my veins In a trance, my blood rushing insane Stage lights glow, your voice touches me again Your Rock Star moves, you put me in Zen Yeah…Your Rock Star moves, you put me in Zen [Verse 3] I feel the chaos rising, hold the peace within You center me, let the music take me again Strings are vibrating, feeling so numb You had me at the first note, I succumbed [Chorus] My piece is the riot, you build inside You’re so electric, chakras on a ride Distortion heals, so loud in my veins In a trance, my blood rushing insane Stage lights glow, your voice touches me again Your Rock Star moves, you put me in Zen Yeah…Your Rock Star moves, you put me in Zen [Chorus] My piece is the riot, you build inside You’re so electric, chakras on a ride Distortion heals, so loud in my veins In a trance, my blood rushing insane Stage lights glow, your voice touches me again Your Rock Star moves, you put me in Zen Yeah…Your Rock Star moves, you put me in Zen

Very unique take on the prompt. I can imagine this with a driving bass guitar. Love how the opposites attract and dance in your use of imagery.

Very lovely musical lyrics. I hope someone will collaborate with you on them. I'm looking forward to hearing them.

It seems unusual that you didn't put music to this because you use so many musical images in your lyric. I certainly identify with the idea of the heavy distorted sounds being a sort of meditation. Some of my most relaxing music is very heavy music that I think others around me wouldn't find relaxing at all. Maybe it's nostalgia. Maybe it's just repetitive rhythm. But something about heavy tunes can be very relaxing.
