Unwritten Song

Liner Notes
Yes, I wrote a song called Unwritten Song. It's February and that's just the sort of thing we do. I said somewhere yesterday that I had the chorus of an unwritten song going around my head (I've since written it :)) and then I decided that "Chorus of an unwritten song" was a fun phrase and should go into its own song.
It's definitely about something, but you can make it about whatever you want it to be about. I decided I wanted it to be a #folk #singalong where anyone with a handy instrument or even just hittable thing could join in. I deliberately kept it to C, Am, F, G so that it was as easy as possible to join in, say if you happen to be learning #ukulele. Anyway. I had fun with it, and that's what matters.
Lyrics
An empty page awaits us but the cap is off the pen Nobody can tell you what'll happen in the end I've got to wonder where it all went wrong While I'm whistling the chorus of a still unwritten song
Waiting for the spark, got to get it right this time There's a tune that seems familiar but the lyrics fail to rhyme But we pray for the day when we all can sing along Joining in the chorus of a still unwritten song
And we all play together And we all join in as one In the glorious harmonies Of a still unwritten song
We'll sing it from the rooftops and we'll sing it in the streets We'll sing in hope and joy and we will sing a song of peace Time to sing it out and sing it loud and sing it strong And we'll all make up a chorus for a still unwritten song
And we all play together And we all join in as one In the glorious harmonies Of a still unwritten song
And we all play together And we all join in as one In the glorious harmonies Of a still unwritten song
And we all play together And we all join in as one In the glorious harmonies Of a still unwritten song
The glorious harmonies Of a still unwritten song

Very well written, and your production values have gone through the roof! This this the type of song that I would lead with a group (and I just might). Love the instrumentation, and you're reminding me that I have to restring my 8 string baritone.
Ahh we can all relate here! I appreciate the chorus of voices in the chorus and the increasing instrumentation, lends moral support to the message!
I reckon most of us can relate to this. I like the general lighter uke touch, which gives you a chance to lift into the chorus. Nice singalong
Came for the uke - got a harmonica bonus. Infectious - and in this particular audience..such a universal experience, who among us is not bouncing about with several bits and bobs running around in our heads ? Bravo
Lovely, Edwin. Expresses first-week songwriting very well.
Well, you've scored my first tears of this year's FAWM. The chorus is such an anthem - and the harmonica is filled with hope. Nice and simple chord progression and a simple song so we can all indeed hope for a better future (a glorious one, in fact :) Please let it come true.
I don't understand where this sudden percussion and harmonies vibe has come from 😂 This is beautiful – absolute keeper, and a very joyful racket indeed. I'll start working up my harmonies for when we play it live :)
I can totally imagine a large group of people in a pub singing along to this one! It has such a classic feel to it, as if it is a folk song from 150 years ago. Great harmonica, too. Nicely done!
