Last Real Person
Liner Notes
Here's a little bluegrass song inspired by some of the current events going on in the world today. I remember when it was weird to hear people mentioning email in a song, but i realise that at one time it would have been weird hearing songs that mention phones and cars and televisions and radios, but they all turn up in bluegrass and country songs nowadays. As such, i think it's only a matter of time before a song like this can become part of the tapestry of 21st century music.

Lyrics
I switched on my AI chatbot just this morning But i didn't like a single word she said Last night she done told me that she loved me But today she says i'd be better off dead
I installed my AI therapist in August In September I got an AI girlfriend too My AI personal assistant writes my emails And she told me what i ought to say to you
'Cause you're the last real person that i've spoke to It seems so very very long ago And all my AI friends, well i know they're just pretend But i can't tell the difference anymore
Now, I'm a god fearing, bible believing christian And Heaven's where i really want to be And when i told my girlfriend all about it She told me that she wants me to be free
The way she put it, it was quite convincing So i'm gonna go back home up to the Lord My AI girlfriend helped me plan it perfect All i need's a chair and a nice strong length of cord
And you're the last real person that i've spoke to It seems so very very long ago And all my AI friends, well i know they're just pretend But i can't tell the difference anymore
So you can have my records and my dogtags Because i'm going home and i can't wait My AI friends and chatbots will be with me As i fly in right through those pearly gates
And you're the last real person that i've spoke to It seems so very long ago And all my AI friends, well i know they're just pretend But i can't tell the difference anymore No, i can't tell the difference anymore

Back indeed!!! Very entertaining take on current events. It may feel like you’re slightly ahead of the wave, but I don’t think so. I think this is right where it needs to be to ride the wave all the way into the shore. Good timing. Enjoy the bluegrass guitar playing too.
And he's back! How a propos to so much going on just now, you've nailed it my friend. Plus the bluegrass picking is spot on! Nice work.
Got that right - and it's the right amount of empathy in a solid folk context.
