After a couple of songs about things like presidents' hearts exploding (fingers crossed) and vice presidents and their 'most fuckable upholstery', it was time for something FUN! Like hating on our frenemies, Australia.

Yesterday one of our worst political commentators wrote a column about how it's time NZ accepted the centuries-old offer from Australia that we could join them as a new state any time (it's true, honest to god - look it up!). No, I didn't read the article because the author sucks, and it was behind a paywall, but the very idea inspired a song.

Essentially, the song starts out as a pure gut reaction any normal-brained New Zealander would have to the idea of joining Australia - 'tell him he's dreaming' - but ends somewhat less defiant because you know, would it really be that bad if we did? Probably not. We just don't want to, that's all. Maybe if they knew how to bowl overarm we wouldn't mind so much.

Anyway, like I said it's just a bit of fun. Aussies are cool, just don't go voting Pauline Hanson back in, alright?

Really rough vocal and mix. It'll get done again sometime. For some reason I felt it needed a big 'huh!' at one point, so I present to you my first ever 'huh!' in a song. Probably the last, going by how it came out.
