I like the tension between the gentleness of the lyric and voice and the insistence of that tight guitar pattern. To me that made it feel like there was something the singer was trying to overcome - like this relationship is in past tense through death maybe. So glad you’re back.
You might need to write an adolescent live song called “Then off to the petting zoo”
