Broken Horn
Skirmish: Broken Horn (@johndrtcp)Liner Notes
#acousticrock #acousticonetake Broken horn from the skirmish, barbarellas because the retro rock and roll is all about rhythm.
Lyrics
Saucers in the sky Drew circles Around the warning That’s when you and I Decided To drive till morning
But the barbarellas stopped believing What the radio was receiving And I drove all the way to Cleveland With a broken horn
Flash back A couple of years To the rehearsal hall Fate chose Cappy and Juju To take the call
But the barbarellas stopped believing What the radio was receiving And I drove all the way to Cleveland With a broken horn
Break it down Break it down By moonlight Play back Play back Gotta get it right
This could Be a movie Your mama would like Kissing At the rest stop On the turnpike
But the barbarellas stopped believing What the radio was receiving And I drove all the way to Cleveland With a broken horn
But the barbarellas stopped believing What the radio was receiving And I drove all the way to Cleveland With a broken horn

Very cool guitar riff and great catchy melody! Love the song you developed from the prompt!
Catchy and driving (sorry for the pun) song. Good take on the prompt and quite visual. Nice!
I will repeat a comment I’m sure I’ve given you in past FAWMs — you’re so good at hooks! I love “And I drove all the way to Cleveland/With a broken horn”
Solid write!
I actually think this great! I downloaded it. Hope you don't mind. If so I'll delete it
Now this is what I’m talking about. High quality tales of horn. This gets the “Singing Bull of the 1800s Award”.
Wow, I love this! The images you've created and word choices in the lyrics are excellent. However they all seem like separate vignettes and I struggle to see the connection, so I really have no idea what the song is about, but I still love it. I know there is an old movie starring a young Jane Fonda called Barbarella, but I don't know the plot - is this referencing that movie? I feel dumb. And, hey, only you need to know what it's about. The rhythmic melody style and guitar riff really support the lyrics and create a great vibe.
