hi! i started FAWM. with some friends, namely @ericdistad and @fireball. and still organize it 23 years later. thanks for being a part of this musical experiment.

i've been gradually manifesting a preference for 4-stringed instruments and might try a whole FAWM with just ukuleles, mandolins, bass, and tenor guitar/banjo. well, those plus keyboards, drum machines, and various percussion. 😄

science nerd + pop music junkie who grew up in the bluegrass, went to school in the tundra, and now i live in steeltown. i've been in bands in all of those places.

in case you're wondering, i really do have a phd in artificial intelligence. in fact, i created FAWM as a way to "productively procrastinate" in my studies.

About a decade ago, I met you at Friendship Church in Oakland. My wife Abby and I attended for ~1 year while she was in grad school at CMU. We loved that place and remember you and your wife fondly.

Thanks for all of your hard work creating and maintaining FAWM! Hopefully. It is a true labor of love for ya! Thank you! I My first FAWM was 2024. This is my third one, but unfortunately I am right in the middle of a major house remodel and can’t be as engaged as I normally would be. But I am popping in here and there with comments and listens! Good to have you back! Yes, I'd say it's community driven. The code is mostly by myself and beto, with help from ericdistad too. I'll make a note of your interest in case we decide to add more devs. But for now, we write songs! 🎵

Hello, ty for creating!! I really didn’t know what I was doing or getting myself into… the first time that I did FASM. Never wrote official lyrics before that but tried once. I collaborated with wonderful Musically inclined talented Artists & was very happy hearing the results that happened; after a few years off I’m on again!! Looking forward to collaborating!! Especially because I only write the lyrics; need the collaboration!
