It's been two years since I participated in FAWM. Ok, so I'm in Brazil right now working on a Fulbright project to study the viola caipira, the 10 string traditional guitar used in a lot of rural music, caipira music and traditional religious cultural practices throughout much of the interior of the country. The project I'm working on is to study the instrument and to create new collaborations in the process, so I decided to attempt a FAWM this year as a way to force some new creative output. I have a bunch of stuff going on, so this is going to be a real challenge for me this year! Yeah! I'll do my best to keep up and keep involved.
