Heyo sprinters! Here we are again!

No defined goals for me right now. I'm prepping two concerts and starting work on an album that I've wanted to make for 5 years, so yeah. Whatever gets made here is gonna be strictly for the fun. Summer is hard for me. It's usually when the depression sucks me down, so I'm gonna try to use this space as a way to find bright spots and joy with friends.

Sticking around a bit for MALM. This year has been a bit weird for me. To look at my page, you might assume it was hugely successful from number of songs, but that's a bit narrowly focused. I've been battling major burnout and depression this year. So I really have no idea how many of these songs are going to be music I take with me. Some are sounds that stay, and some will be sounds that fade. And that's okay. My favourite parts of FAWM this year was my collaborations and finishing lyrics from long ago that I didn't know if I would ever set to music. I feel like I unlocked a skill by doing that.

This is my sixth FAWM! I absolutely love this mad alchemy workshop of music, words, and friendship. I take great joy in opening the floodgates every year and allowing whatever needs to flow to flow.

I'm witchy, neurodivergent, classically trained and yet interested in all things musical. I play piano, ukulele and a smattering of percussion. I'm gradually building my recording chops and finding my writing voice. I'm becoming more confident in collaborating with other musicians.
