Good morning FAWM!

First, a confession - FAWM opens on the US east coast at 7AM - I start...whatever time I get up, which, this morning, was just a bit before 6 (I mean...to sit, hands folded waiting - I'd go mad)

I've taken to doing a "welcome to FAWM" ice breaker since either my 2nd FAWM or first 50/90. A stream of consciousness kind of thing, over an easy chord progression - but I run through it a few times, and put the lyric bits I like best together. It loosens me up, and gets me rolling.

So, @hmstreetteam made note of us opening, this year, on a full moon, so that was a spark. It didn't start out to be #political, but it arrived there (it's never too far from the surface of my mind) - so, if that's a thing you are not wanting to hear - heads up. Also, I suppose it might be considered #nsfw by some.

Other than that, it's an #acousticonetake done early morning, with no preoccupation for perfecting cadence, strum pattern, or, well, really anything at all. But, I did get to drink most of a cup before pressing record.

Catchy singalong FAWM intro. Love the laid back delivery. The spoken word section fitted right in there and would almost be funny if it wasn't so serious... I think you captured the mood and zeitgeist pretty well with this one.

That’s a great rhyme — FAWM/songs — and I personally love a well-placed swear. I want this to come beaming over late night radio to me while I’m driving my 1982 Plymouth Reliant down Highway 10. Oops, i think I started a new lyric.

I like the idea of kicking off FAWM with a relaxed "ice-breaker" as you call it. Your voice is strong on this and I appreciate the lyrics setting the tone for what I expect is going to be a fairly political FAWM. It's only right. Nice work!

This is amazing, you nailed it with this. FAWM opening up later didn’t stop me from writing here in central time either, I started at midnight because I’m one of those full moon FAWMers who stay up late!!! Love the old country folk vibe of this, gives an old familiar feeling 🩵

I should not have laughed this much at the grave lyrics in the middle, but your sincerity and the absurdity of the situation sometimes needs that.
