Liner Notes

A rushed lyric after I slept 35 minutes past the start of the skirmish. The title and some threads of the story came from the first channeled message that came up on TikTok. I had to work in the #fullmoon with the change of season as long as that’s happening today. #imbolc #skirmish lyrics; #folk music added two hours later

Lyrics

Give me something for spring I need something to start I need seeds I can plant But they have to come from the heart

You know spring leads to summer Before you know it it’s May I want to stand right here In a field that won’t fade away

I need a quick decision No time to lose I need an offer you can’t refuse

I spent all night staring At the moon on the snow There’s a time to wonder And a time when you get up and go

When I look into the future There’s only one thing to see No compromises That’s just the way it will be

I need a quick decision No time to lose I need an offer you can’t refuse

This has a nice pace and I really liked the resolution at the chorus, it leads into the verse very nicely.

Great take on the skirmish, and reducing it to a 25min gives you extra brownie points from me😉

I like the image of standing in a field that won’t fade away. Great hook.

I love that you rushed up from sleep to write this! Esp. love "I spent all night staring at the moon on the snow". That is just lovely. Also like the opening: "Give me something for Spring." and "a field that won't fade away." Thanks for your comment on my lyrics, and welcome back!

Oohh this is very good. I love it. Especially the verse: 'I spent all night staring At the moon on the snow There’s a time to wonder And a time when you get up and go'
