Amanda was kind enough to take a chance on me. She sent her lovely, emotional lyrics in advance so I could get my thoughts together. Since I'm a mellow sort of fellow, Amanda's words were spot on for me.

This is such a beautiful collaboration. I find I want to listen to it over and over. I particularly love the line about colors leaving the soul and dreaming in black and white. The melody and emotive vocals really carry the story along nicely here and the instrumentation is very complete for the vibe. Love the brass- the instrumental comes just late enough to be a lovely surprise. Hope this one has a life after FAWM!

Lovely collaboration - the gentle flow of music with the gorgeous harmonies and cool bass. The lyrics reach into my heart with so many good lines.

pretty good! evokes emotion

Melody stands up well as the instrumental section. "Power of the night" makes me think of "Phantom of the Opera" - not a bad thing

Ah. thanks for the kind words, Liz. I was luck to get a great lyric from Amanda to work with. As for the lowest note, I get close and Melodyne adjusts it to make it work.

Wow! Was not expecting that brass ... quintet? for the instrumental. Lyrics are wonderful: "To sooth my mind and dry my crying soul" Really hits!

Thanks very much for taking the time to put "Dry My Crying Soul" on the turntable and commenting. The instrumental section had a French horn trio on the left, a clarinet on the right and a trumpet up the middle.

We all need a little light these day - communicated so well, in these lyrics. Sounds wonderful I love the low harmony on the chorus - adds, idk..some kind of gravity to the proceedings

Thanks for your kind response to "Dry My Crying Soul". The low stuff is done a phrase as a time because I couldn't do it continuously. Plus a little help from Melodyne to adjust a fraction of a tone here and there.
