#instrumental #improvisation A photo of smoke from an incense cone that I captured a few years ago inspired this improv piece.

The smoke it the photo seemed to start moving while the song unfolded. Cool effect! Shows the power of music. Really enjoyed this mysterious, searching piece.

@fuzzy

That pic looks like jellyfish as well as smoke. Lovely lovely reverb. Nice gentle and calming flute work here for sure. So very nice; I've just come off of listening to a bunch of punk songs here at FAWM, so this is an excellent palate cleanser. Aah, relaxed now.

Fabulously affective and cinematic. A journey for the ears. Nicely executed.

Enchanting and magical as always. Music to transport you off to.....wherever you feel like going!

Lovely and haunting!

Lovely work, absolutely mesmerizing.

Oooooh, mysterious and spooky. Love the reverb--or is that a synth, along with the flute? If you have time to tell me, I'd love to know the setup you used to make this!

Thank you so much! :-) The setup is quite a simple one. I use Reaper as my DAW. Most of the donkey work on this is a VST by Linda Audio called "Stargazer". It's a shimmer reverb and available for free or as donationware. The flute is running through a Lamden Audio LA1005 large diaphragm condenser via a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface to its own channel in Reaper. I have two instances of Stargazer set up on their own individual channels, and the signal from the flute is being routed to them both in parallel. Stargazer has a number of presets, and I'm using "guitar beauty" on one channel, "sub synth ensemble" on the other. In both instances, the reverbs are set to full wet, zero dry. The reverb levels are set in the channel at about 50% volume. And that's it.

You have a knack for the epic. Very evocative.

I was drawn to the title and knew the music was be equally engaging. I’ve got a collection of ghosts that I talk with (and fight with) regularly…most of my family. This was a great backdrop for me to think about those I’ve lost for a moment, keep them with me. Thanks for that.

Wow, an epic track with a gorgeous meditative feel and wonderful harmonies! I'm thrilled to be listening!
