Hittin' the Street

There is no demo for this song.

Liner Notes

#metal #Folk #rock #poppunk This is super rough, still needs formatting but the parts/lyrics came and had to get them down, Think it could be sung from any perspective and would fit into almost any genre - Far from finished but like where it's going :-)

On rereading definitely Disjointed but still believe there's something here to work with.

Lyrics

Hittin’ the Street

V Guess, I’ll be hittin’ the street After you swept me off my feet Never thought I’d ever meet Somebody… someone like you

V You asked for my heart Held it up like beautiful art Thought this was surely the start Of a living, loving life with you

V My head bounced hard off the street When you took out my feet Never thought I’d ever meet Someone as twisted as you

V A nasty bottle of twisted tea So many turns you twisted me Beyond the Pretzel Logic of Steely D. Every joint was blown out

PC Leaving me no doubt

C? Blinded by blind love Strafing in from above Saw me as hand and glove Crushed me into the ground Never coming around.

Outro – in a Free Form Jazz Odyssey Format – LoL! I felt the falling and Love changed to quicksand No shallow end, life now is unmanned Heading of the rails Shredded all the sails Pulled out all the nails No way of setting this right It's all falling apart Close my eyes fade into the night…

Yeah, there's such a solid poppunk vibe to these words. They just BOUNCE off the page! Pogo time!!!

I like the twisted idea here. This line is my favorite, "My head bounced hard off the street". Lots of rhymes to thrash out 🤘Needs some heavy music to bring it to life!

Andrea! Great to see you! Thanks for stopping by and reading "Hittin' the Street" Always appreciate your input! Heavy might be the ticket!! A little more "lyric lotion for lustre" and should be a go for rough demo!

Starts like a thousand other love songs then the literal twists start. A love song for modern times.

The title Hittin’ the Street, takes on a double or triple meaning as the song progresses. I like it.
