Wow, #randomcollaboration with @musicsongwriter Nadia wrote such a beautiful piano track and gave me a really fun challenge to try to live up to!! Great title challenge too. I let the music lead me to the lyrics, very different writing for me!
Nadia here. Thank you so much Mishy for your gorgeous lyrics, vocal melody and vocals. I love how our song turned out. It feels magical, poetic and sincere.
Lyrics
Flowers in the Sky
Storm clouds gathering heavy dark and wild Wind and weather blowing Mother Nature’s angry child Waiting to find out if there’s a hidden reason why Focus on the future look for flowers in the sky
You might not really want to hear Listen carefully if you dare Its a warning bright and clear You’re searching for something that’s not there
Spiritual vacancy pulling endless strings Reaching for fulfillment wishing for some wings Scattered seeds need a new home, find a way to fly If earth could reach out far enough for flowers in the sky
Refreshing rain touches my face Magic moment of exquisite grace I only had to feel it once For spiritual sustenance I have a wish, a hope for you I hope that you will feel it too
In a quiet fantasy something flashed before my eyes I saw a place where magic seeds grow flowers in the sky I hear it in my dreams A distant mournful cry An essence that is calling For Flowers Flowers Flowers in the Sky

So Cool! Jazzy Vibe with the Cool Vocal and Great Piano. So glad this Collaboration Blossomed!!! Enjoyed my listen.
thank you so much!
Beautiful collab. The imagery in the lyrics & sultry vocal fit very well with the piano.
thank you!
This gives me Diana Krall vibes in the best way! The space you've created with the vocals and piano is luscious. I love all the nature imagery in the lyrics. I think it would be awesome to see flowers in the sky. Are they magical constellations? Northern lights? Galaxies? I like that it's a song of pondering.
