I joined FAWM in January 2013. It transformed me as a musician and songwriter. Every year I use this space to post a FAWManifesto of my FAWM Goals.

Billy Bragg and Bruce Springsteen both just dropped a song for Minneapolis. I think this should be a bat-signal for all folk singers to channel our confusion, sorrow, outrage, and most importantly compassion into song to help ourselves and others make sense of these un-make-sensible times. When I started FAWM in 2013, I was the only songwriter in my region doing FAWM(Simcoe County, Ontario). Now there are about 2 dozen of us who hang out around the Social Distancing Songwriting Group on Facebook.
