Liner Notes

Confession time! I haven't liked most of the stuff I've written the last three years or so. Some of it is due to mental health stuff that was going on during the time I was writing it, some of it is not having access to a good recording setup, and some of it is just that not all songs are gems.

I think I like this one but I'm not 100% sure yet. Maybe after a good night's sleep I'll have a different perspective.

Whoa. This is crazy cool from my vantage point. I think your vocal choices are so distinct and specific, super hooky and compelling. The bass line is seductive and magnetic. I really like this, well done.

That chorus slaps! I especially like the last line. Great production values here, but you are the synthpop and 80's funk queen, so no surprise. You sound great here.

Love the rhythm and beat, with great lyrics. The chorus is also super catchy and great expression with the vocals. I really loved the middle part, and the whole bass line.

Wow. I especially love the melody in the chorus. I think it will stick in my head for a while, it's very catchy. The lyrics are great too!

This works so well. It morphs from feeling like it could be a song to Garbage at the start to something that's totally your own. The echo on that kick adds a really interesting feel to the track. Vocals are on point and it's super catchy as expected.

Catchy with a nice beat! I like the concept too, "you are the poison I am the remedy" is quite a hook.

I love this!!! The melody is super catchy and creative!! The vocals are awesome. I love the driving beat and the way the lyrics flow within the music. So many memorable lines!! like "You are the poison, I am the remedy" I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this one!!! Great job!!!

Oh, this is catchy! Love the thumping beat! Fantastic chorus. Tight right. Super performance. First song I listened to this morning and you got my day off to a great start. a head bopper! love the three line verse and 4 line chorus (which has a wicked melody - immediately singable) . some great rhyming in this too.

ohhh heck yeah!! immediately dancing along to it, love the lyrics (and can relate to them), those little vocal runs are so yummy, and it's so catchy! how did you make the non-vocal parts?

Ooo, this is tremendously catchy and foot-tappy. Love the lyrics. They feel both very dark and very light at the same time. Does that make sense?

EDIT: half an hour later and I'm humming the chorus as I make breakfast. See? I said it was catchy 🤣

Great driving bass and beat! Nice synths too. Love your lyrics and your harmonies. A light touch of distortion on the vocals might make them match the mood even more.
